1. Who we are

This service is operated by Tailr LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Tailr,” “we,” “our,” “us”). Tailr provides an AI personal-styling product accessible at www.tailrstylist.com and, where available, via mobile applications.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you visit www.tailrstylist.com, use our apps, contact us, or otherwise interact with Tailr. It does not apply to third-party sites or services that we link to (such as brand storefronts you visit via an affiliate link), each of which has its own privacy practices.

3. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use Tailr, and limited information from third parties (e.g. your authentication provider).

4. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate the service: serve pages, authenticate you, generate outfits, save your wardrobe.
  • Personalize: tune outfits to your Style DNA, weather, and learned preferences.
  • Communicate: send transactional emails (account, billing, trip ready) and the optional newsletters you've opted into.
  • Enforce plan limits: count daily outfit generations and AI stylist questions.
  • Process payments: through Stripe.
  • Prevent abuse: rate limits, fraud detection, debugging.
  • Improve Tailr: aggregate, de-identified analysis of feature usage.
  • Comply with law: respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not train any machine learning model on your data. The third-party AI models we use to compose outfits (OpenAI, and where applicable Anthropic) are contractually prohibited from training on Tailr inputs/outputs under their enterprise API terms.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR/UK GDPR:

6. Sub-processors and third parties

We rely on the following service providers (“sub-processors”) to operate Tailr. Each is bound by a data processing agreement that limits their use of your data to providing their service to us.

When required by law (for example for users in the EEA/UK), data transfers from your region to the United States rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent safeguards) executed with each sub-processor.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and local browser storage:

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not embed third-party tracking pixels. You can clear local storage and cookies at any time from your browser settings.

8. How long we keep your information

9. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you (export available at Profile → Privacy → Download your data).
  • Correct inaccurate information directly in your profile, or by emailing us.
  • Delete your account and associated data (Profile → Privacy → Delete account).
  • Port your data (the export download is a structured JSON file).
  • Opt out of marketing emails from any email footer or by toggling them off in Profile → Notifications.

a. EEA / UK users (GDPR)

In addition, you have the right to:

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Withdraw consent for optional features (Try-On body photo, location, marketing emails) at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. (UK: ICO. EEA: your national DPA.)

b. California users (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents may also:

  • Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, sources, business purposes, and third-party recipients in the prior 12 months.
  • Request deletion of personal information (subject to legal retention exceptions).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (Tailr's body photos may qualify; we already limit use to Try-On).
  • Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — Tailr does not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of the above.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with verifiable written permission. We will verify your identity before acting on access or deletion requests.

c. How to exercise your rights

Most rights can be exercised directly from Profile → Privacy. For anything else, email support@tailrstylist.com. We respond within 30 days (45 days for complex CCPA requests, with an additional 45-day extension if needed and disclosed to you).

10. Children

Tailr is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact support@tailrstylist.com and we will delete it. In the EEA, the digital-services age of consent in your country governs.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS for all traffic, encrypted database storage at rest, scoped server-side secrets, principle-of- least-privilege access controls, rate limits and abuse detection, circuit breakers around third-party services, and continuous error monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication from your security settings.

12. International data transfers

Tailr is operated from the United States. If you access Tailr from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent transfer mechanisms with our sub-processors to safeguard cross-border transfers.

13. Automated decision-making

Outfit suggestions are produced by AI models (see our AI Disclosure). These suggestions do not produce legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR — they are styling recommendations you are free to accept or ignore. You can always regenerate, edit, or override any suggestion.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-product banner at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
