How to find an image URL.
Tailr's try-on takes a direct URL to the product image — not the product page URL. Here's the 30-second trick on every device.
First: image URL vs. page URL
These look similar but are completely different addresses. Tailr needs the image URL.
✓ Image URL — works
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/.../shirt.jpgEnds in .jpg, .png, .webp, or sits on a CDN domain.
✗ Page URL — won't work
https://taylorstitch.com/products/the-jack-shirtThis is the product PAGE, not the image. Tailr can't see the actual photo from it.
On desktop (Chrome / Firefox)
- 1. Open the product page on the brand's site.
- 2. Right-click the product photo.
- 3. Click “Copy image address” (Chrome) or “Copy image link” (Firefox).
- 4. Paste into Tailr's try-on URL field. Done.
Safari: the menu item is “Copy Image Address.”
On iPhone
- 1. Open the product page.
- 2. Long-press the product photo.
- 3. Tap “Copy” in the menu that appears.
- 4. Switch to Tailr, tap the URL field, paste.
On Android
- 1. Open the product page.
- 2. Long-press the product photo.
- 3. Tap “Copy image link” or “Copy image address.”
- 4. Paste into Tailr.
If it doesn't work
- URL ends in /products/ or .html: That's the page URL. Right-click the actual photo instead.
- No right-click menu: Some sites block it. Try opening the image in a new tab first (right-click → “Open image in new tab”), then copy the URL from the address bar.
- Image won't load: The brand may require login to view product images. Try a different brand or use a screenshot uploaded via the closet uploader instead.
