Packing for a trip
Trip Mode — a mix-and-match capsule built around destination + weather.
Trip Mode generates a mix-and-match capsule of 5–7 outfits for a destination + dates — combining your Style DNA, local weather, and (optionally) your closet. Best for packing decisions.
Build a trip
- Open /trips and click Compose capsule →.
- Type a brief: “3 nights in Charleston for a friend's wedding — beach during day, cocktails at night.”
- Tailr resolves the location, pulls today's weather, and composes a coherent capsule.
- Each day shows a focused outfit + the underlying capsule pieces.
What makes a capsule different from individual outfits
- Shared pieces — fewer items pack more outfits. A blazer wears with two of the three bottoms; a white tee anchors three different days.
- Weather-aware — Tailr looks at the forecast for each day and adjusts (layering for cool mornings, lighter fabric for hot evenings).
- Mode-aware — “business travel”, “beach”, “city break”, “ski” all tune the capsule shape.
- Closet-aware — if you have closet items, Tailr packs from them first and only recommends extras to fill gaps.
Tweaking a trip
- Regenerate a single day without losing the rest.
- More / less formal per day — quick-action buttons same as Studio.
